Today it is very cloudy, but still warm. We decide to walk along a path above the cliffs from Port d'Antratx to Sant Elm. In the beginning we walk along a paved road which has been built not long ago, because according to our guide book it is only a path leading up to Mon Port. After about 30 minutes we pass the last houses and then a really nice way continues up to a point where you can look at Sa Dragonera - the Dragon Island in front of Sant Elm. This is a good picnic sport and we stay there for a long time. On the other side of the cliffs it goes down to Sant Elm. Down there many goats are walking along. We spend a long time watching them before we return the same way back to Port d'Andratx.

Hiking to Torre den Basset
We drove to Sant Elm because we wanted to take the ship to Sa Dragonera. The so called Dragon Island lies directly in front of Sant Elm and our guide book says that it is nice to go hiking on this island. But unfortunately because if was off season no ship was going to Sa Dragonera. Therefore we took a look at our map and decided to hike to the Torre den Basses instead. There are about 80 of these towers on Mallorca and they were used to watch pirates in previous times! From the tower you have great view to the Dragon Island and down into a very nice bay with turquoise water.
Port d’Andratx
End of November we wanted to escape rainy cold Germany and therefore we booked a last minute trip to Mallorca!
The offer included a stay at La Pergola Apartments in Port d'Andratx. Port d'Andratx is nicely situated at the Southern end of the Tramuntana mountain range. In the marina you can see lots of expensive yachts. Port d'Andratx has many nice restaurants directly at the sea side.
Mallorca 2014
This was our first trip to Mallorca. We composed a video which gives some impressions of this manifold island. At the office we sometimes take a short break to watch it 🙂 - imagining being back at this nice place. We will definitely come back!
Mallorca – Walking on the beach – Es Trenc
Es Trenc is an about 5 km long beach in the south of Mallorca. The white sand and the cyan water create a magic atmosphere of pure holiday and rest. Especially in the warm months Es Trenc seems to be a popular place for tourists - at least according to the big number of available parking lots (~6€ per day!). We have been there in the low season - hence there were only a few other people around. For those who don't want to just lie in the white sand the beach offers a great opportunity for taking a walk. Further information can be found here.
